Becoming a Movie Star: How to Do It!
By Silas Reed
The odds of becoming a famous, bankable movie star are quite slim, but if you find that you are someone who was born with stars in their eyes, you might have no other choice than to try. Take some time and consider what puts movie stars on the right path and what kind of movies star you might want to be. There are many people out there who are interested in moving forward and getting a movie star career, but how many movie stars really make it? While finding a career in the movies is not as hard as you might think, becoming famous in it is something else. If you want to improve your chances of becoming a movie star, there are many things that you need to keep in mind and many paths for you to pursue. Take some time and look into what your options are going to be if you want to move forward.

When you are thinking about getting started in working in movies, the first and best thing that you can do is to get started earlier. What are the local theater companies around your place like and what are the acting programs like? Is there a professional actors' studio that you might want to get involved in, or do you find that you are in a place where you can get to a studio like this? As with so many careers, acting has a lot of networking involved and it is something that you need to consider. Take some time and think about what you can do in the industry before you even leave home. Take some time and consider what your options are going to be and what you can do to make sure that people are interested in investing in your career.

If you want to become a famous movie star, make sure that you look into what the top acting colleges and universities are like in your area. For instance, are you someone who is interested in going to New York University for your education, or do you like the idea of attending Yale or Carnegie Mellon? In the Midwest, Northwestern University has an excellent reputation, while North Carolina's School of the Arts and the California Institute of the Arts are some other places that you can go and get a great start. When you are thinking about moving forward, there are many different options open to you in this regard.

When you are thinking about moving forward and making sure that you can get an acting career off the ground, you will find that you should go to as many auditions as you can find. Look into what films are being produced in your area and look into the independent films and the low budget films. While the pay is not going to be great and while constant rejection is something that you should expect, just remember that you are not going to be perfect for every role. As an actor, one of the best things that you can bring to the table is going to be perseverance. You need to be stubborn and you need to be able to move forward and to make sure that you are up to the work that is being asked of you. You are going to be going into a highly competitive field and this is essential to remember.

Another thing that you need to consider is to look into joining the Screen Actors' Guild. You can take advantage of the points system and work your way up through acting as extras and at sanctioned events, or you can get a one word speaking role in order to join. You should also take a look at auditioning at a cattle call and see if you are going to qualify as new talent. This is something that can make a huge difference, and at the end of the day, the secret is simply to make sure that you get out there. There is a lot of networking going on, and you will not get the work you need simply by staying in!

Take some time and consider what your options are going to be when you are thinking about moving forward with your acting skills. This is something that can make a lot of difference to your chances for a career as a movie star.
