FOX Sports Marketing is looking for an Associate Manager, Music who will support the marketing creative team in the research and selection of music. This position is r esponsible for obtaining, organizing, maintaining, and updating all music in the On-Air Promos Music Library that is used/needed for promos, sales reels and campaigns created by FOX Sports Marketing for the networks we service. This position will also act as mediator between FOX Sports Marketing and FOX Sports Music for license requests, cue sheets, etc. Foster and cultivate relationships with music production houses, labels, new artists, etc.
Creative Contribution: Research and provide music options per Creative Director/Producer requests. Respond to requests in a timely manner based on project timeframes and prioritize accordingly. Present cost effective solutions in an attempt to decrease budget impact wherever possible.
Admin and Records: Ensure music cue info is collected from Producers/Creative Directors on all delivered media for use in music cue reporting. Ensure that the usage of the music used conforms to the terms of the negotiated contract. Submit cue sheet reports to Fox Sports Music Department per their requirements and deadlines. Maintain a catalogued database and an accessible library of all music researched and ultimately licensed for Fox Sports Marketing projects. Include final licensing costs for use in future budget projections/comparisons.
Outreach: Research new music for projects, foster and cultivate relationships with Sports Production, music production houses, music labels, artists, etc. Take meetings with vendors/artists/labels pushing new albums that might be available for our use at reduced costs.
Bachelors degree in Music, Broadcast television, Marketing, or Advertising related field.
Minimum 2-4 years experience in Radio, Music Lable/Publisher, Music Production House, or Broadcast/cable television.
A creative ear for music is essential.
The ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints in a high pressure environment is also required.
Time management, initiative, organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
Proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work with various levels of authority (Coordinators to Senior Execs).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
Understanding of music industry programs (Spotify, Source Audio, etc).
