Responsibilities Req ID: 44058 The Program Specialist will participate in planning and facilitating psychological education groups for patients as assigned Participates in observation of physical/psychological status of patients on an ongoing basis, document and report to the charge nurse Provides professional expertise in the group setting Quality Assurance Assist patient to maximize comfort in hospital environment by orienting to unit/program, providing written materials, introduction to other patients and staffupon admission and ongoing care Marketing Represents patient/family needs when patient/family is unable to do so by communicating to other team members on admission and on an ongoing basis Supports rights of patient through awareness and appropriate provision of various legal rights forms and papers in compliance with HIPPA, Patient Bill of Rights and Minnesota Commitment Act Education Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy preferred group facilitation skills required current casual 1East Program staff only apply Qualification/Skills Experience mental health experience preferred Skills Group facilitation/Written and verbal communication skills Computer skills Certifications/Licensure Eligible for certification/registration with the professional organization of his/her specific discipline Code Green/RPR trained Work Schedule six shifts in a payperiod including every other weekend 8-430 pm Location/Community Information The increased population and business growth in and around Cambridge have elevated the community to the status of a regional hub in East Central Minnesota for shopping, services, entertainment, employment and education.
