What part will you play?
We are currently seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting for the Finance Reporting & Budgeting (FRB) department. This individual will be responsible for performing activities related to the analysis and consolidation of the worldwide actual and budgeted results of the companies comprising Warner Bros. and reporting those results to senior management, outside agencies and Time Warner. Specifically, the responsibilities include: Execution of financial statement closes and preparation / presentation of all related deliverables including balance sheet fluctuation analysis, Time Warner financial package, footnote disclosures and other management reports.
Assistance with balance sheet data issues that affect the Khalix transmission of financial statements to Time Warner.
Oversight of tasks performed by Senior Analyst related to investment eliminations and non-eliminating intercompany variance explanations.
Preparation of other Time Warner deliverables including WB corporate financial statements and Return on Capital.
Monthly review, analysis and issue resolution for balance sheet accounts.
Address business units' financial reporting related inquiries and ensuring that changes in reporting have been accounted for properly in the financial statements.
Support Senior Manager, Financial Reporting for integration and validation of reporting for open balance sheets as a result of acquisitions.
Participate in other key projects and initiatives impacting balance sheet reporting.
What do we require from you? Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
At least 5 years of previous work experience, preferably in public accounting in addition to private industry.
Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems, SAP preferred.
Bonus points for: CPA, MBA or advanced degree.
Previous experience in the entertainment industry.
Previous experience supervising staff.
