rn SUMMARY
rnUnder the general supervision of the School Principal, plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning, employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students including strategies to meet diverse student needs.

rn ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
rn Design and implement engaging and differentiated instruction based on analyzed student data
rn Collaborate effectively with other teachers and administration to implement instructional strategies that promote student success in content areas
rn Ensure coherence in students’ educational programs by coordinating instruction, discussing student work, and sharing best practices, including flexible student grouping
rn Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible
rn Select, develop, and use a variety of diagnostic, formative and summative assessment to inform instruction and ensure student learning
rn Prepare, administer, grade and analyze assignments and assessments in order to evaluate students' progress, strengths and areas of need and provide feedback
rn Proven ability to work as a member of a team which includes regular attendance at work
rn Utilize the Response to Intervention (RtI) process to support student achievement
rn Ability to integrate technology into instructional delivery and use data to support, drive and shape decision making(Data Folders) Provides appropriate resources and learning materials for students
rn Must be able to build positive rapport with families and community partner
rn Commitment to meeting the needs of every child in a diverse population
rn Commitment to his/her own learning and professional development and ability to participate in professional course offerings as needed
rn Prepare standard-based lesson plans and have the materials and classroom environment ready for instruction
rn Modify teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
rn Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
rn Follow curriculum standards, pacing guidelines or requirements of the state and school district
rn Meet with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and/or resolve students' behavioral and academic concerns
rn Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
rn Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum standards, guidelines or requirements of states and schools
rn Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore and manipulate
rn Enforce administration policies and rules governing students
rn Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other technology in instruction
rn Prepare for assigned classes, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors
rn Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of programs
rn Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration
rn Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence
rn Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities
rn Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required
rn Supervise, and plan assignments for volunteers
rn Perform other duties such as assisting in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading

rn KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
rn Demonstrable successful interactions with families and colleagues
rn Excellent understanding of curriculum across subject areas, the Common Core State Standards, and the importance of literacy and language based approaches to teaching all content area.
rn Clear understanding of curriculum, differentiated instruction, and child development
rn Must possess ability to utilize technology in the enhancement of student learning
rn Have ability to work collaboratively in a team situation
rn Excellent verbal and written communication skills
rn Knowledge of a wide range of instructional and intervention strategies
rn Ability to problem solve and think critically.
rn Strong organizational and time management skills

rn MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
rnBachelor degree or higher from an accredited institution. Relevant teaching experience is preferred.
rn
rn CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
rnCurrent and valid State license. Must be highly qualified in area of content
rn
rn WORK ENVIRONMENT

rn Work is performed in a classroom setting

rnrn Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
rn Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
rn Occasional interaction with unruly people.
rn Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items up to a maximum of 40 pounds (100 pounds on wheels).
rn While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
rn Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs.
rn Travels to meetings/professional development and work assignments.
