Poker Room Manager - Ft. McDowell Casino
Under the direction of the Table Games Director, must execute administrative functions including liaisons with the following departments: Payroll, Audit, Human Resources, Tribal Gaming and others as needed. Responsible for the overall function of the Poker Room.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) years experience with progressive supervisory/management experience required.
Responsible for the overall operation, supervision and administration of the Poker Room.
Must have outstanding internal and external guest service.
Responsible for enhancing the growth through development of the guest base.
Communicates all policy and procedure and compact revisions.
Administer all payroll responsibilities within the Poker department.
Responsible for submission and acquisition of formalities to T.G.O., Audit and Human Resources.
Advisory for hiring and disciplinary actions.
Enforce Arizona Department of Gaming requirements as written in the state compact.
Responsible for maintaining the Poker Room records and its employee files.
Analyzes and projects promotional streams for the Poker Room.
Advisory for expense budgets within department.
Issue, review and analyze the judicial management of player comps.
Helps examine video of games to identify intentions of deceptive card players.
Assists in complicated surveillance video situations when requested.
Prepares regular reports on the status of each shift including technical levels of team members and staffing requirements.
Provides an outstanding poker experience/environment.
Able to identify when and if theft from employees or customers has taken place.
Assists in creation or modification of department rules and policies.
Establishes training methods for all department personnel when needed.
Liaison of charitable/private events for our department.
Must be able to work any shift.
All other duties as needed.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Must be 21 or older.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
Stand for 67-100% of work day.
Eye/Hand coordination and wrist motion for 67-100% of work day.
Reach and walk for 34-66% of work day.
Balance, bend, stand, stoop, twist and walk for 1-33% of work day.
While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
