Job Description
ABC10 KXTV, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento has an opening for a full-time Ronin operator/Editor. The ideal candidate is able to perform a variety of studio responsibilities, understands how to create great production and values teamwork to achieve it. This person will be working with HD studio cameras. Experience with steady camera rigs and other news equipment with a background in post-production editing preferred. You will join our team and help with a variety of News and Production shows.
Responsibilities of the position include:
-Operate Ronin Camera Rig in Studio
-Edits news and feature stories, voiceovers, teases, and other video elements for live shows and pre-taped specials as needed.
-Ability to multi-task, handling editing assignments, capturing feeds and sending and receiving material to and from multiple TEGNA stations, while constantly monitoring quality control.
-Ability to determine good audio and picture quality; ability to edit with continuity and creativity on non-linear systems.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
-Flexible availability is essential. Position could involve extremely early and late hours, weekends and holidays.
-Must be team oriented, have a positive attitude, possess good computer skills and effective communication skills.
-Must have experience as a non-linear editor - preferably in a local TV news department environment;
Minimum Qualifications:
-Strong oral/written communication skills;
-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet daily deadlines.
