WXIA, a TEGNA company and the NBC affiliate in Atlanta, GA, is Looking for a line producer for a Monday through Friday, live, one-hour talk show based in Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates must have a minimum of five years line producing for a live program, preferably with experience on talk shows. Candidates must possess very strong control room skills. Must also possess strong organizational skills, communication skills, and be excellent at multi-tasking under pressure. Additional requirements include experiencing in writing and producing content. Experiencing using ENPS is preferred.
BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field
5 plus years' of experience preferred, including supervision and leadership of other journalists
Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems
Understanding the tenets of professional journalism
Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content
Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on Twitter and Facebook
Knowledge of ENPS, Edius and Axis graphics a plus
Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events
