Our client, VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY HEALTH
DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE
is seeking BC/BE applicants with a fellowship in EMS for an available faculty position in Richmond, Virginia. Interested EMS physicians should have strong clinical skills and a demonstrated interest in teaching and/or research.
The department hosts an EM residency, an EM/IM residency, and several EM Fellowships. Primary clinical practice is provided at the VCU Medical Center, a nationally recognized hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. The department also runs the Virginia Poison Control Center, a nationally recognized EM Clinical Decision Unit.
Physician faculty provides operational medical direction to several large ground and aeromedical EMS agencies in Central Virginia. This position offers ample opportunities to be involved in a multitude of academic and clinical initiatives. Academic rank will be determined by credentials. An excellent salary and benefit package is available.
Richmond is a blossoming metro area of 1.4 million, located in the Mid-Atlantic region between the shore and mountains. Washington DC, NYC, Philly and Raleigh-Durham are all easily reachable by auto or train, while an international airport provides access to all points in the U.S. and the world.
