Director of Photography & Editor - studioD
Located in Santa Monica, CA.
The studioD team is looking for an experienced and well-rounded D.P. / Editor to help build out our video capabilities. You will work with a cross-functional group of nimble content creators and producers who serve eHow, LIVESTRONG, Saatchi Art, as well as established brands such as Samsung and Nestle.
Responsibilities:
Oversee, manage, and execute the cinematography for all of our brand facing and internal video productions.
Serve as primary video editor on all brand facing and internal productions.
Must execute primary & secondary color processing for all video productions.
Source and coordinate additional camera and lighting personnel for all applicable shoots and postproduction.
Oversee maintenance on our camera, lighting, and postproduction equipment.
Contribute creative and logistical input for upcoming video projects.
Act as a producer between DP and postproduction responsibilities.
Create and Edit reels for sales.
Facilitate cinematography on experimental formats and rapid prototyping of video projects.
Contribute operational insight on possible internal resource builds.
Requirements:
2 Years serving as a main DP on various productions.
Must be a good communicator and enjoy collaboration.
Must have a willingness to learn about online content and the varying nuances different platforms.
Must be proficient with FCP 7 and Adobe Premiere.
Must be proficient with the Cannon c300 and 5D.
Must have a willingness to learn new Cameras.
Ability to relentlessly solve problems and get things done.
Must be proficient in lighting design for video production.
A BA or BS.
Ability and willingness to travel.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, consultative, collaborative, driven and have a positive attitude.
