General Employee ResponsibilitiesComply with local, state, and federal guidelines and laws.\u00a0Comply with Northeast State Community College and Tennessee Board of Regents policies, procedures, and guidelines.Comply with SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) standards and guidelines.Promote and maintain College and TBR Mission, Vision, and Values.Promote and comply with Northeast State Community College SAFE Campus programs.Maintain digital calendar and archive annually on June 30.Provide supervisor with access to calendar and an archived copy of calendar for annual performance review.Seek efficiencies and continuous improvement in both position and personal growth.Manage budgets and operation of department; develop and implement budget and strategic planning for the office.Lead\/promote College and TBR initiatives as they relate to this office.In all duties assigned, show a commitment to quality, customer service, and Northeast State Community College: to include students, College employees, and the community served by Northeast State.Be an active and contributing part of the Northeast State Team.Follow professional code of conduct and ethics; maintain professional dress in compliance with expectations of the position.Complete other assignments as directed by supervisor\/President.Utilize effective people skills in working with internal and external customers.Teach a full-time teaching load of 30-32 credit hours.Serve on committees as assigned.\u00a0Specific Role and ResponsibilitiesDevelop appropriate programs.\u00a0Create, manage, and nurture industry and community partnerships.Develop internships.Recruit students and adjunct faculty.Advise students.Assist in institutional and department accreditation processes.Prepare and maintain\/monitor budgets.Provide assistance and direction in curriculum, faculty, and facility development.Implement the Tennessee Board of Regents and the institutional policies.Develop and maintain an industry advisory committee.Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.\u00a0\u00a0Requirements of the Position\u00a0Minimum Qualifications and Education RequirementsEducation \u2013 Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Technology, Communications, Media, Business Management, or related field.Experience \u2013 4 years' experience in the entertainment industry with expert knowledge of:Concert and event production,Audio studio recording methods,Expertise with analog and digital recording industry software and related equipment,Independent and major record labels\/recording contracts,Status of current recording industry,Music and event production contracts and contract riders,Song writing and copyright,Music publishing,Entertainment business, marketing, and management.Technology Skills: MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Access; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.Preferred SkillsBehaviors: Maintain a positive\/winning attitude, respect students and coworkers, represent the College in a positive manner in every aspect of the position.Abilities: Possess excellent leadership skills, work with industry experts.Possess the qualities of organization, and verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrate assertiveness in all aspects of the position and a commitment to customer service.Perform other duties as assigned.\u00a0\u00a0Compensation:\u00a0Annual salary dependent on education and experience.\u00a0Contract\u00a0Type:\u00a0Term Contract (9-Month), Full-TimeLocation of Position:\u00a0Northeast State,\u00a02425 Highway 75Blountville, Tennessee, 37617United StatesApplication Deadline: May 12, 2018Open Until Filled:\u00a0NoRequisition Number:\u00a0req816Knoxville News Sentinel.Category: , Keywords: Educational Technology Specialist
