The Production Specialist - Studio Operations daily responsibilities include live event and game production as an All-in-One Op, Bug Op, Font Coordinator, V1, Chyron op and other technical positions; the training of freelance Chyron ops, All-in-One Ops, Bug, Font Coordinator, V1, and other technical positions; maintaining, cataloging and updating graphic packages and elements on the TVG and SDP database graphics system.
The position is based in the Pac-12 Network Studio/Offices located in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
• While this role will have a wide range of responsibilities, it's primary function will be as a Production Operator on live events and studio shows
• Primary All-in-One Bug, Regular Bug operator and Font Coordinator on games and trainer and mentor for new freelance operators
• Work on a Chyron operator as needed.
• Work cross-departmentally to execute new graphic need/challenges, specifically placing emphasis on ease of workflow, and operational consistency
• Create, catalog and maintain template files for incorporation into the TVG system
• Create, catalog and maintain template files for incorporation into the vMix/SDP system
• Work with Engineering staff to troubleshoot TVG Bug and SDP systems as necessary
• Assist in day-to-day graphics delivery for live broadcast and Studio shows
• Learn Mosart Automation system and vMix SDP system to operate in a support role
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for show graphics, on-air promotion campaigns, and marketing directives as they relate to studio-based shows
• Ability to remain detail-oriented under high-stress and high-pressure situations
• Proactive and effective communication with excellent problem-solving skills
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Sr. Director, Studio Operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 Years of prior work experience in-studio or remote television production environment.
• Previous sports production operations experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent people, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications, with a strong emphasis in Excel.
• Must be self-disciplined and self-motivated and have the ability to comprehend the extensive production operations and schedules.
• Meticulous attention to detail while balancing multiple projects with changing deadlines.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and climb a ladder.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse organization and supporting the values held by our unique employees, clients, sponsors, university faculty, and fans.
• Passionate about Pac-12 and Collegiate Sports.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnights, weekends, and most holidays. This is not a remote position.
