Job Summary
Inspired by our commitment to excellence, the Marketing and Content team at the Chicago Sky communicates how we create unforgettable memories for our guests. The successful Graphic Designer will assist in executing effective marketing and advertising materials in an effort to maximize revenue for all departments within the Chicago Sky. Key responsibilities include production execution of sales collateral, digital advertising, social media, and website graphics based on approved brand standards and creative guidelines.
Essential Functions
• Provide design, layout, and production support of required marketing material, including but not limited to advertising, direct mail, sales collateral, electronic sales materials and online/digital marketing, using established graphic standards resources to ensure brand, product, and market consistency
• Responsible for cataloging, storage, and maintenance of images, artwork, and logos based on approved filing and naming conventions to ensure information is accessible and available to all service providers and marketing team members
• Collaborate and participate in ideation sessions with the creative team and other cross-functional teams, including external marketing partners as required
• Coordinate artwork exchange with service providers, publications, or customers by emailing ads, logos, or images as needed to complete marketing projects, including production
• Other responsibilities or tasks deemed necessary by supervisor
Job Specifications / Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related field preferred
• One (1) to two (2) years in graphic design experience in marketing or ad agency environment, including digital design expertise
• Intermediate level skills using Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud – Including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; experience with HTML5 or other digital platforms is a plus
• Good understanding of typography and layout design
• Able to multi-task in a high volume work environment
• Perform work requiring analytical thinking and creativity
• Maintain consistency in projects within graphic standards guidelines
• Interface with co-workers and outside vendors effectively
• Possess organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
• Work independently, with a supervisor, and as a team
• Must possess high attention to detail
• Must be a problem solver with good communication skills
• Continually seek additional opportunities for professional development to stay on top of advancements in web design and development in a marketing capacity.
This is a full-time position based in the Chicago Sky front office. We are currently working on a hybrid schedule (in-office twice a week) but that could change in the future. All employees must follow COVID-19 protocols set forth by the organization and league regardless of vaccination status.
The candidate will be expected to attend all Chicago Sky home games located at the Wintrust Arena and be available after hours and on weekends as required. The position reports to the Director of Content and works within the marketing and creative services department.
Pay range is between $35,000 - $42,000.
