Responsibilities
Stay Tuned, part of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. team, is looking for an AP to work with producers on our daily show on Snapchat. We need a visually imaginative aspiring producer who is obsessed with the news - especially topics that matter most to GenZ and Millennials. Latest trends? You’re all over those too. You’re a social-first news consumer. A solid writer. And a team player who’s always down to try new things. Sound like you? Let’s chat!
This position is represented by the NewsGuild and is based in New York.
Responsibilities
* Pitch relevant stories that will resonate with the youngest news consumers
* Work closely with various Producers on research, fact-checking and pre-production of short-form news segments under tight deadline
* Help identify the visual elements needed to create a complete segment
* Work with Senior Producers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
* Work with editors to create visually engaging segments
* Editing in Adobe Premiere not necessary but a plus
Qualifications
/Requirements
• 2-3 years’ experience at the Associate Producer level
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and comparable work
experience
• Must have experience working in a news environment
• Strong writing skills, great news judgment and a creative
eye
• Familiarity with the Stay Tuned voice and talent
• Sense of the social media ecosystem
- Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19
