DESCRIPTION Job summaryWe are seeking a Music Executive to join our dynamic music team supporting the studios original series and movie productions in South India. As a part of this role, you will be an integral part of the IN Originals music team and will be located in Chennai, India. You'll have experience in TV and Movie music production and music supervision, you will use your robust knowledge of music and your network of relationships in the entertainment and music industry across Tamil & Telugu markets to drive successful projects.Key job responsibilities Music Supervision of designated productions on behalf of studio. Read Scripts and co-ordinate with various internal & external stakeholders to assess scope of music in the screenplay which includes scores & songs. Suggest key music hires (music composers, supervisors, singer-songwriters etc) basis the screenplay. Work closely with internal stakeholders for Management and tracking of music budgets, talent deals, scoring process, music delivery, and music licensing for designated productions. Utilize a deep understanding of music licensing for film and TV to ensure success of projects.Partner effectively across internal divisions (Business Affairs, Production, Marketing, Social Media etc.) and with external partners using excellent communication skills. Work with music label partners in the region to distribute and seek wide release for our soundtracks. Assist marketing team with licensing/curating music for various marketing campaigns.About the teamThe Amazon Studios Music Department is based out of Culver City, CA with team members in Miami, UK, Germany, Japan and India. Our mission is to deliver compelling, high quality music that elevates Amazon Studios original content to our customers around the world. The team not only oversees all music needs associated with the Amazon Studios overall programming slate (including Prime Video's original television series & Amazon Original Movies) we also leverage the unique musical content created for our productions to raise awareness of our content and drive consumers to Prime Video.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree from a reputed institute. 10 years full time experience of working as an A&R at a record label, music supervisor at a film studio/tv production house or with a music composer. Experience working as a music curator either for Tamil and Telugu Films/TV shows or independent singles/soundtracks. Experience in Film / TV music licensing. Experience dealing with music talent and a strong network/existing relationship with music artists and preferably with music labels in south. Strong project management and organizational skills. Robust knowledge of technical requirements & music nuances in the Indian music context. Knowledge of music business in India and must be an avid listener with a deep understanding of main stream and new age Tamil and Telugu music & artists.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Fluency in Tamil and Telugu languages Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with a keen sense to detail Able to handle ambiguous projects with swift but measured responses / solutions Adept at learning new software and web-based tools with a strong sense of how cloud-based document and database systems are utilized Goal oriented and self motivated Ability to travel internationally Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles required for this role Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleJob detailsChennai, India; India, IndiaProject/Programme/Product Management--NON-TECH
