JOB TITLE:
Intern, Product Development
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Baltimore Orioles seek a seasonal intern, Product Development reporting to the Manager, Product Development. The position will focus on tasks pertaining to the product portfolio and project management. This internship will help with the development and enhancement of the team's primary products including ticketing products, promotions, theme nights, sweepstakes, and special offers. All duties are designed to be an extension of the interns' education.
JOB DUTIES:
• Participate developing and executing club product plans and promotions alongside the Manager of Product Development.
• Assist in the planning of cross-functional meetings to help drive collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Assist in market research and work directly with the analytics team to identify market opportunities and enhance current products/promotional schedule.
• Assist with vendor management for all promotional items.
• Assist on game days with any product and/or marketing initiatives.
• Assist with promotional calendar materials and game prep.
• Additional tasks as assigned to help achieve the overall goals of the marketing and product development department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to multi-task, provide product concepts, and analyze data.
• Must be able to perform and participate in a cross-functional environment, as well as complete various individual projects.
• Strong computer skills are required with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Pursuing a degree in Communication Studies, Marketing, Social Media, Sports Management, News and Information or a related field preferred but not required.
• Must be receiving school credit for internship.
