Suzuki Piano Instructor

Profile

: This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching excellence. The instructor teaches individual Suzuki piano lessons for students of varying ages and levels. Teaching also includes weekly Suzuki piano group classes. Saturday teaching is required.
Duties
: • Foster a positive learning environment
• Establish a good rapport with students and families
• Provide expert music instruction, including demonstrating the playing of the piano in lessons and playing piano with the student
• Manage studio
• visit website for additional job duties
Qualifications
: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Music and/or SAA registered teacher training in piano required, preferably through Book 3. Master’s degree in piano performance preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Suzuki studio teaching all ages & skill levels, & Suzuki group teaching experience.
Salary
: Hourly wage determined by education and experience. Health insurance and benefits available for teaching 900 hours annually.
