ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) Americas is the division within ViacomCBS that builds and produces renowned, award-winning, and high-quality content in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. The Studio Partnerships & Operations team is responsible for three key pillars within VIS Americas: central initiatives, commercial negotiations of co-productions and originals, and operations. This role will be critical in supporting the first 2 pillars, reporting to the Vice President of VIS Studio Partnerships and Operations.
Overview and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement processes and projects to promote the success and efficiencies of VIS' key departments (studio partnerships, development, production, films, operations, digital studio, marketing and business intelligence)
• Lead and support the execution of the production approval document (AAM) to guarantee budget proposed by production teams is aligned with company needs, commercial strategy and financial requirements
• Lead and support the development of Ultimate Revenue Models (URMs) given market knowledge and historical sales to project potential sales of upcoming productions, liaising with other sales teams
• Lead and support Studio Partnerships in the development of budget and monthly estimates in order to track sales negotiations and impact on revenue
• Develop and complete concrete market, content and LRP strategies that lead to revenue-generating and successful production opportunities within VIS
• Lead and support client negotiations related to co-productions and original productions, including run and attend client meetings, pitch stories, lead contract discussions, and coordinate operational and delivery process to guarantee the success of the relationship with our partners
• Build competitive market analyses including finding opportunities and growth areas with the Studio
• Build content and sales presentations, for internal purposes as well as for external clients, including understanding development materials, summarizing information, gathering key facts and working with designers when applicable
• Understand details within Studio P&L provided by finance teams and build necessary analyses, on a recurring basis, to make sure VIS teams understand how to maintain profitability within the Studio
• Maintain database and presentations highlighting the Studio's key achievements throughout the years
• Lead and assist the execution of the content sales approval process to make sure sales negotiations are led in a timely manner
• Maintain Smartsheet and Excel trackers that involve strategic business information updates
• Lead ad hoc internal project initiatives including potential M&A opportunities and business plans development
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in strategy, consulting, finance or marketing
• Proven experience in production/media industry.
• Advanced project management and organizational skills a must
• Ability to individually handle solutions to extremely complex problems while providing concise and well-organized information for decision-making
• Ability to collect, distill and arrange in a PowerPoint presentation the most important and useful information pertaining to a project/problem in a high-level, easy-to-follow but insightful manner for an executive audience
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity during projects
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Ability to work across multiple types of teams in the organization (creative, commercial, operational, research)
• Ability to work in matrix organizations with different partners and collaborators
• Advanced Excel skills
• Native Bilingual Proficiency (both English and Spanish/Written & Oral)
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Smartsheets and Salesforce a plus
