Job Summary:
Assist Broadcast department in executing broadcast needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily game day interviews for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. radio broadcasts
• Coordinate in-game promo reads for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. radio broadcasts
• Assist in managing the relationship between the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., broadcast partner WXYT 97.1 FM, and affiliate stations, including onsite gameday support of the Tigers radio booth.
• Work directly with national and local broadcast rightsholders including, TBS, MLBN, NHK, ESPN, FOX, Bally Sports Detroit, and WXYT The Ticket; Assisting with daily requests from the Tigers broadcast partners.
• Assist the Broadcasting and Scoreboard departments in the logging, clipping and archiving of video and audio files throughout the baseball season.
• Assist in the distribution of video and audio files in response to requests from broadcast partners, sponsors and Comerica Park guests.
• Assist in daily administrative duties at the direction of the department Director.
Skills
Needed, Special requirements:
• The ideal candidate must be at least a college Senior, recent graduate (within 2 years).
• The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills
• The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills
• The ideal candidate must have a strong base of baseball knowledge, including familiarity with the history of the Tigers franchise as well as the team's roster heading into the 2022 season
• The ideal candidate must be available full-time
• The ideal candidate must be willing to work longs hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with video and/or audio editing software, as well as managing content on internet video sites such as YouTube and Vimeo.
