Suzuki Guitar Instructor

Profile

: This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching excellence. The instructor teaches individual Suzuki guitar lessons for students of varying ages & levels. Teaching includes weekly Suzuki guitar group classes based on a curriculum and structure. Saturday teaching is required.
Duties
: • Foster a positive learning environment
• Establish a good rapport with students and families
• Provide high expert music instruction, including demonstrating the playing of the guitar in lessons and playing guitar with the student
• Manage studio
• visit website for additional duties
Qualifications
: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Music and/or SAA registered teacher training in guitar required, preferably through Book 3. Master’s degree in guitar performance preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of Suzuki studio teaching all ages & skill levels, and Suzuki group teaching experiences
Salary
: Hourly wage determined by education and experience. Health insurance and benefits available for teaching 900 hours annually.
