**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is creating a newly formed in-house communications position to develop strategic communication plans and identify and execute communication opportunities and activities. As a Communications Manager at OBB, you will report directly to the CEO and serve as a point of contact on day-to-day interaction with OBB's external PR team as well as the company's partners, in order to help manage the marketing and publicity of both the company as a whole, and specific projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Track monthly press and maintain a marketing calendar across OBB's slate of projects, then distribute information to the company via weekly update.
• Work to promote the company as a whole, individual projects, and individual employees supporting the efforts to garner industry awards and other professional honors, in collaboration with OBB's external PR representatives.
• Alongside OBB's external PR team, work with members of the press and outlets in advocating for the company in press coverage.
• Maintain expertise in company key messages and priorities, ensuring they are reflected in all communication; proactively identifying opportunities to build awareness of key messages and priorities.
• Help to lead the development of announcements, coordinating with PR representatives.
• Create materials in support of strategic messaging including presentations, press releases, talking points, etc.
• Work in concert with Founders, as well as VPs/lead Executives on company wide initiatives and press opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years of experience in the communications and PR field
• A forward-thinking mindset, given this is an entirely new role and function
• Ability to navigate timelines and manage deliverables (internally and externally with partners)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of narrative, awareness of audiences, and meticulous attention to detail
• Social media proficiency and knowledge of best practices a plus
• Existing relationships in media and with members of the press covering the company a plus
