Sloss Eckhouse Dasti Haynes LawCo, a boutique entertainment law firm, is seeking an Associate with a minimum of two years of firm experience. Founded in 1993, the firm represents clients in all aspects of motion picture, television and new media financing, production and distribution, including writers, directors and producers, as well as production companies, financiers and television networks.
Responsibilities:
• Work on transactions in film, television, digital/new media, as well as development, finance and production/ distribution.
• Negotiate and draft media agreements covering all facets of development and production including option/purchase agreements, production services, talent services.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and manage Production legal contracts and transactions.
• Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients
Requirements:
• Must be a member of the bar in New York State with at least 2 years of experience at a top law firm and/or boutique entertainment practice
• Excellent academic credentials, and the ability to think strategically and creatively while providing practical counsel to clients.
• Superior writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, servicing multiple leading industry clients.
• Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated interest in entertainment and work experience in the entertainment industry.
