Responsibilities
• Write, edit, and manage news-of-the-day and breaking news content
• Assign stories to writers, advertise stories and review for editorial accuracy
• Collaborate with assignment desk and regional producers
• Respond quickly to breaking news
• Provide quality customer services to NBC News Group, clients and affiliate stations
• Willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, and various schedules
• Available to be on-call for breaking news
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Three or more years of experience as a local or network
news producer/ writer
• Strong editorial news judgment and communication skills
• Strong news writing skills
• Ability to multitask in fast pace environment and prioritize
assignments
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized in fast-paced environment with tight
deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as a member of the
team.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19
vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated,
submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days
following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the
commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced
